The PXG 0811 Golf Driver offers players unmatched fine-tuning options. With numerous sole-weight configurations possible, golfers can hone their launch conditions for optimal ball flight while maintaining a high MOI.
Sixteen moveable weights enable golfers to position the center of gravity for optimal launch, spin and bias. While there are thousands of possible combinations, there are five common positions.
Adjustable hosel can change the loft (+/-) 1½ degrees to optimize the trajectory.
Ti 8-1-1 is a high-grade performance titanium alloy suitable for casting extremely thin walled structures. Intricate geometries are better attained through casting.
Using a high strength titanium alloy allows for a thinner face, thereby saving critical mass. As a result, mass can be redistributed to various locations within the club head leading to a more optimized ball flight.
HIGH-STRENGTH FACE DESIGN
Precision Weighting Technology keeps club head mass distributed through a series of weights to increase MOI. The PXG 0811 golf driver has 16 weights – platinum colored weights made of high-density tungsten and black weights made of low-density titanium. Fine-tuning will alter the initial launch conditions allowing the golfer to achieve the best possible results without changing his or her swing.
This weight distribution positions the mass evenly around the weighting system.
This weight distribution positions the mass towards the back of the club head producing a slightly higher launch (approx. ½ degree) with slightly more spin (approx. 300 rpm).
This weight distribution positions the mass towards the toe of the club head and has the effect of producing a more fade-biased shot of approximately 10 yards.
This weight distribution positions the mass towards the front of the club head producing a slightly lower launch (approx. ¼ degree) with slightly less spin (approx. 200 rpm).
This weight distribution positions the mass towards the heel of the club head and has the effect of producing a more draw-bias shot of approximately 10-12 yards.
